Have you thought about becoming a Gaia Ambassador? (Learn More...) Our Ambassadors are community leaders who help Gaia Community, and its members, to grow and flourish, connect and dream. They help others feel at home here, and encourage them to be the change they wish to see. They invite friends (and strangers) who they think might appreciate, and contribute to, the energy. They're committed to being a beacon of love, service and enthusiasm, both online and out in their own communities. In short, they're quintessential Gaia members who've offered to be of service on the site. As part of our Ambassador application process, we ask our lovely members a few questions. How are you being the change *you* wish to see?I am living the ‘change’ that I wish to see and am committed to taking this spiritual adventure with all other Gaians as well as with the Gaia community as a whole. What's your personal philosophy or purpose? What are your deepest values?My personal philosophy is that we are all on this earth for a short time, and human culture can move in dysfunctional directions, so we have a responsibility to do what we can to help heal our culture from the bottom up (one person at a time) and from the top down (though wisdom and leadership). I am interspiritual and do not favor any ideology or theology that holds there is only one right way to live. |
The quality of the people I meet here.
The ability to share the knowledge and wisdom I have spent 50+ years acquiring with others (something that the rural wilderness I live in offers only a little opportunity to express). I enjoy the mentoring and teaching opportunities that have come my way as a result of being here and I am amazed at the exponential growth in my own clarity and understanding, of the expansion of my own knowledge that has come at the suggestion of, and due to the interaction with, others here.
Finally, it is the loving concern for the little everyday things so often expressed towards me by other members that makes being here so special. It is an action that I also try to give whenever I am aware there is a need. If someone is new, I try to reach out to them because I remember how important that was to me when I first joined.
